A structure made out of 4 masses of granite of rectangular cuboid shape, 2 hot zinc dipped scaffold poles, 2 pinewood beams and a slatted frame. Each scaffold pole connects two masses of granite. The two pinewood beams connect both poles and between them a wooden slatted frame is placed. Above the frame a mattress, a blanket and one or two pillows complete the piece.

The sequential encounter of different materials: stone encounters iron, iron encounters wood, wood encounters cotton, cotton encounters the human body, is a progression, which, encounter after encounter, detail after detail, progresses from the coldness and rigor of the mineral and the ferrous to the elasticity of wood, to the softness of cotton to hold the warmth of the human body.

All connections are simple fittings, there are no additional intercessions/fastening necessary. The raw material qualities of the single elements are enough to hold everything together.
