Simultaneous Area
Simultaneous Area
Milano
At San Donato, in proximity of the Ex-ENI enclave, at a certain height a surface of the size of 39 ha hovers without touching them above the existing terrain, buildings, railway lines, streets, highways and all the rest.

On the surface (Simultaneous Area), continuously crossed by the air traffic above, the most different leisure activities can take place: plants are cultivated, farm animals raised, barbecues and late-night parties take place almost everywhere. Water is present in different forms.

Below the ground large parking spaces, corridors and ramps are connected to the thick mesh of infrastructures on the ground. From the ground level you must get underground from where you can then reach the Simultaneous Area through a series of patios, which connect the underground with the sky above.

The Simultaneous Area itself has no predominant direction; its tectonic features qualify smaller ambiences without imposing limits. There is no center and no periphery. In a distant future it can be extended without losing its compositional unity.
