Interactions is research into spaces created through actions of social or civic bodies.

The analysis of social movements from different historic, economic and geographic contexts is the reference to an examination into the transformative and constructive, into the relation between the social and the physical.

Cases of squatting of single unused buildings or abandoned urban quarters, cases of civic cooperation, cases of participation are investigated. In this context special attention has been put on their potential to start processes of social integration.

This research is part of the programme ‘Cities in Cities’.
